COMMON/LIKELY WEDDING DAY DISASTER AND WHAT TO DO

By Royal David:

Just like every good organization foresees likely disaster that can befall them and set up measures that can withstand them when they occur or put things in place so that business activities are not affected. E.g flooding, armed robbery cases, fire outbreak ..etc. Its more like anticipating Evil. In the same vain a bride and groom to-be or a wedding planner can do a list of possible wedding day disaster and corresponding measures. Anyway make up your mind that nothing will spoil your big day...whatever the case maybe, it will go on well..no panic.
Here is a few possible wedding day disaster and measures I have come up with;

A. You woke up on the D day and you feel nauseous. Relax! it could possibly be as a result of the whole planning stress. Ensure you take enough water, have a light breakfast, and try not to stand often during the event. Put on a smile..don't let it show, after a while you'll feel stronger.

B. A bridesmaid or groomsman is sick or running late. Don't let it interrupt the service, don't start looking for a replacement, go on without him/her, there is no law that you must have equal number of train. It could also be the bride's dad who is running late and his phone is not reachable to ascertain his location. Get an uncle or an older brother to replace him.

C. You got to church and you found out that the wedding ring was left behind. Don't panic, borrow from your parents or close friend, present it nicely in an handkerchief tied up with ribbons to the priest or pastor.

D. While trying to set up the wedding cake at the reception, two of the layer fell off and it's all messed up
 Don't panic, Run to the nearest cake shop, rent a nice wedding cake that has same colour as the wedding colour and set it up. Return it after the wedding, clean-up the original wedding cake and present to the couples. Afterall it had fulfilled its purpose of photography. .guest don't get to eat of it anyway. ..lol

E. Rain is something you must plan for especially during the rainy season. If it's in rainy season get a good hall or tent and provide big umbrellas for your ushers to help escort guest to and fro their cars. Maybe its raining and it's affecting the attendance at your reception. Don't delay the event, go on and enjoy every bit after all people do have small events with small number of guest. If you delay, the ones who have been waiting for long might just start leaving.

F. You had more guest than you bargained for, its not a problem everyone must not seat at the round table. Organize for chairs to be arranged at the back of the hall. Its faster easier and cheaper than renting tables and having to decorate them. In no time the extra guest will be seated and no one will notice if the extra chairs has chair-covers..*wink*

G. Food didn't get to me...this is 99% bound to happen. Well its sad but there is no remedy for this one so don't let this complain get to your ears, even if it does keep smiling and dancing cos most people got food and were satisfied. Afterall the event is for you and not to satisfy anyone. If they didn't get food they probably got souvenir. .everyone is happy.

This is just but a few...you can come up with your own list.

READY BUT STILL WAITING

I have something to say, hmmmmmmm, I have something to say.... Listen! Listen pay full attention for I have something to say...... Ehennnnnn so let me land. When I dropped my first note this year " Same wish-list as every year" it was focused on the unmarried young lady and this led me straight to my next thoughts which i'm about to share with you. You know I always like to look at the flip side of every story, so my focus is undoubtedly focused on the unmarried brothers. When I write I draw my inspiration/findings from real life everyday  people and experiences that everyone can relate with, it doesn't necessarily have to be about me but I clearly like to state my opinion on life issues as I see or perceive them. *wink* Now  Prince charming got it all working for him, a good family, a great job, a nice apartment, may or may not have a car, perfect gentle man, ladies man, and goes to church at le ast every sunday. He's mature and respectful, he's always
