WHAT DO YOU MEAN WHEN YOU SAY I TRUST ...

By Royal David: Obviously our focus today is on the word TRUST. The dictionary meaning of trust is simply put as confidence or reliance on someone's person or quality. You can depend and hold on to his/her words or actions, knowing that the person wil not try to harm or trick you. But is that what trust is really about.  Dictionary definition very correct but that's just one side of the coin, there is more to trusting someone. Now lets unveil the otherside of trust. Most times when people say I trust him, or I trust her The reason is because he or she has given them no reason to doubt so their trust is based on the availability of openness and sincerity they get from the person. In other words because the person's actions are predictable.  Your trust for someone is truly revealed when the person becomes unpredictable. E.g. A woman can trust a man who closes by 5:00pm and is home by 6:30pm and it has been so for months. But real trust is revealed by your acti

COMMON/LIKELY WEDDING DAY DISASTER AND WHAT TO DO

By Royal David: Just like every good organization foresees likely disaster that can befall them and set up measures that can withstand them when they occur or put things in place so that business activities are not affected. E.g flooding, armed robbery cases, fire outbreak ..etc. Its more like anticipating Evil. In the same vain a bride and groom to-be or a wedding planner can do a list of possible wedding day disaster and corresponding measures. Anyway make up your mind that nothing will spoil your big day...whatever the case maybe, it will go on well..no panic.  Here is a few possible wedding day disaster and measures I have come up with; A. You woke up on the D day and you feel nauseous. Relax! it could possibly be as a result of the whole planning stress. Ensure you take enough water, have a light breakfast, and try not to stand often during the event. Put on a smile..don't let it show, after a while you'll feel stronger.  B. A bridesmaid or groomsman is sick o

5 TIPS/GUIDELINES ON BRIDAL HAIR

A very vital part of the bridal makeover and appearance is the bridal hair. What about your hair? What style have you chosen and how are you going about it. Here is a few tips to guide you when taking decisions as regards your wedding day hair. 1. Start early First of all, everything about wedding requires starting early to achieve a good result. Start searching for the style early enough. Become more conscious of ladies hair-do and that of other brides. Use this time to scan through your photo gallery to see the hair and the style that looked good on you most in the past. 2. Shop for a stylist If your regular stylist is not into bridal hair, shop for one. That's why the first point is important. Get recommendations from friends, family members or a wedding planner. You are shopping for both the best and affordable stylist. Other times you can use your regular stylist and get a makeup artiste who is good in wrapping bridal hair. Don't try to do it yourself if you

THE FUTILITY OF PERFECTION

He is Educated and successful. Respected in the community ...deeply religious and he beats his wife.... These were the words that fell into my ears from the conversation between two people as I sat in a bus on my way back from church..... That statement lingered in my spirit and led me to pen my thoughts..."The futility of Perfection" What do you call perfect....in your relationships whether between couples, colleagues, children, what do you see in them and what do you want to make of them. Perfection is not static or didactic, it's variable in nature, this is because something you called perfect yesterday might just become not perfect at the advent of a new design or style. It cuts across many things Technology, Fashion, Music, even Education. Life is progressive the fact that the new modern smart Tv's we've got now are excellent and can be called perfect doesn't mean the ones our fathers had in d 80's weren't excellent, they too thought what t
