THE WEIRD BRIDE

By Royal David

Yes its my bigday and I am super excited, I had woken up three hours earlier but guess what I have nothing in my mind to worry about. Just a little bit of nervousness. Today I will walk down the aisle as a bride but alone. Call me weird but I want no one, no entourage, no train not even a lil bride. Daddy take me by the hand and lead me to the man of my dreams. I want his eyes fixed on me, with no distractions as I walk towards him, our eyes and smiles communicating uninterruptedly, I want all eyes on me and me alone.

Thanks my darling friends but can you cheer me from the pew and take snap shots of me as I walk down the aisle to the altar by myself. Thank me later because I have taken away the burden brides & grooms place on their train in recent times.

Call me weird but I want no aso ebi, I want you smartly dressed in your contemporary clothes, and colours that I have picked. Keep your natives and traditional attire for the traditional marriage or for another of our friends wedding.

Call me weird but I want my friends and family to sit and enjoy the party without running around, let my wedding planners/event managers work for what they are being paid for.

Call me weird but I wont give you a souvenir except you get me a gift, no offense. I am the bride and this is what I want for my big day, it will give me less things to worry about and of course less stress. By the way, you have no reason not to get me a gift: you are not buying aso ebi, you are not purchasing the bridal-train attire, you are not working for me,....etc so convert your energy and your money to a gift..*wink*
Now you see the weird bride has become the Happy bride.*broad smile*

If this is what makes me weird, then I am sure I wont be the last weird bride you'll see.

It's here again the season of love, weddings and marriage. It has been a lovely Royalty Blog year as we shared lovely photos and beautiful love stories from our Royal couples. The wedding I'm about to announce won't be any different from class and Royalty and just like me you too will love their pre-wedding photos, grinning from ear to ear..lol. Okay let's get right into it, where's my wedding bells?

READY BUT STILL WAITING

I have something to say, hmmmmmmm, I have something to say.... Listen! Listen pay full attention for I have something to say...... Ehennnnnn so let me land. When I dropped my first note this year " Same wish-list as every year" it was focused on the unmarried young lady and this led me straight to my next thoughts which i'm about to share with you. You know I always like to look at the flip side of every story, so my focus is undoubtedly focused on the unmarried brothers. When I write I draw my inspiration/findings from real life everyday  people and experiences that everyone can relate with, it doesn't necessarily have to be about me but I clearly like to state my opinion on life issues as I see or perceive them. *wink* Now  Prince charming got it all working for him, a good family, a great job, a nice apartment, may or may not have a car, perfect gentle man, ladies man, and goes to church at le ast every sunday. He's mature and respectful, he's always
