Bridal shower
it’s simply a party organized in honour of the bride-to-be by her female friends
and her loved ones. Traditionally it’s a gift giving party held to celebrate
the bride-to-be’s spinsterhood as she transcends to become a wife. The bride is usually distinguished from the
other ladies with a coronet and a sash.
The custom
originated in the 1890s, most common in the United States, Canada and by North
American influence in Australia. However overtime it has spread to other
countries even in Africa. It was originally arranged to present gifts to the
bride with the notion that they commonly took care of the household deeds but
however in modern times the bridal shower has been commonly dedicated towards
giving of lingerie as well as small utility household gifts.
Now what makes
it interesting for the bride?
- It should come in a way of surprise; she must have no knowledge of the plans until she gets to the venue to see the surprise party.
- Invite people really dear to her, like her old school female closest friends from another city, her female siblings from another city.
- Ensure her favourite songs are played, if possible get her favourite artiste to come and perform the song.
- The Questions and Answers section must put her on the spot and there can be some penalty for failure
- And of course present those gift items to her

ReplyDeleteThumbs up Royalty! Great enlightenment you've got there to help diversify our social life. Getting out to attend a friends bridal shower (for the ladies) is a good way to unwind, meet with friends and have fun. At least besides weddings and birthdays this is another good social event. By the way I love the pics -natural and simple. Reminds me of the simplicity yet fun-filled kind of parties in Hollywood movies (one tree hill things :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks all @Eseosa congratulations in advance..
ReplyDeleteWow! congratulations to the would be bride!
